If two or more participants finish the Game with the same cumulative score, ties will be resolved in the following order:
- First Tiebreaker: Highest total number of correct selections (not including a push) during Weeks 4 through 18.
- Second Tiebreaker: If still tied, most points earned (including points awarded for pushes) in Week 18. If still tied, most points earned (including points awarded for pushes) in Week 17. The process will continue backward, one week at a time, through Week 4 until the tie is broken.
- Third Tiebreaker: Cumulative Cover Margin. If still tied after application of the First and Second Tiebreakers, the participant with the highest cumulative Cover Margin across all winning ATS selections during the Game will prevail.
For purposes of the Game, “Cover Margin” means the number of points by which a participant's winning ATS selection exceeded the official posted point spread on the Game page. Losing selections and pushes contribute zero Cover Margin.
Examples:
- A participant selects a favorite at -3, and that team wins by 10. The Cover Margin is 7 points.
- A participant selects an underdog at +6.5, and that team loses by 3. The Cover Margin is 3.5 points.
Cover Margin will be accumulated across all qualifying correct selections from Weeks 4 through 18.
Final Tiebreaker: If two participants remain tied, a coin flip will determine the winner. If three or more participants remain tied, an online randomizer selected at Sandman’s discretion will determine the winner.
